Raymond Blum Brings Expertise in Programming and Architecture to a Company Providing Self-Help Customer Support
New York - September 25 - AskIt.com, an Application Service Provider (ASP) that is a leader in outsourced online customer service solutions, today announced that Raymond Blum has been appointed as Vice President, Systems Architecture.

In his new position at AskIt.com, Blum will be responsible for determining the methodologies that will be used to develop a responsive, highly interoperable product and for evaluating the technologies that will be used to deliver a robust implementation of this system that will scale to meet the growing demands of our customers.

Before joining AskIt.com, Blum was a project leader and technology mentor at HBO. His responsibilities in this position included strategic evaluation of development tools, and developing and teaching classes in Java development and Macintosh programming. Blum also handled conducting and coordinating training of staff in Java Programming, Object Oriented Analysis, Forte System Management and Hypercard.
Prior to working at HBO, Blum was a consultant at Solomon Brothers where he developed and supported EMPTOR, an employee time reporting system. He also developed The Makeup Assistant, which was used in the production of publications for the Magazine Division of Time Inc. Earlier Blum was a contractor for Tardis Systems, Inc., where he set up Office systems, AppleTalk and Ethernet LANs and developed Vertical Market software for several small businesses.
Raymond Blum graduated with honors from City University of New York with a degree in data processing.
